YURI SUZUKI

Born in Tokyo in 1980, Suzuki studied in Tokyo and London, exploring the relationship between music and technology. His design and sound work is widely lauded, with examples of his practice being found in, among others, Tate Britain, MoMA and Mudan. In 2016 he was recognized by Design Miami, receiving their Designer of the Future award and in 2018 became a partner at the world’s largest independently owned design studio, Pentagram.

Suziki creates all of his music on iconic electronic instruments, such as the infamous Roland 808, 303,101 and Juno 106. His love for the genre of acid house is deep and his knowledge is extensive. For these releases with TRAX, Yuri dives deep into the sub genres of house and creates his own singular approach to this artform. Highly infectious dance music that still sounds fresh today.
